Aren't these clip-ons so cute?! I went to Melrose Trading Post (every Sunday on Fairfax & Melrose) to scour some goodies with my partner-in-crime, Cole. Cole found a little clock necklace made by these dudes that also make clocks out of old hardcover books. If you bring in your own book that you don't read, but have no more use for, they can actually turn it into a clock for you. Killer gift idea!
There is a stand next to one I always check out and it turns out that the woman running it is the sister of the artisan next tent over. The guy I always check out makes metal and bronze castings of animal skulls and vintage toys and makes them into great pendants. I need to see what kind of relationship I can cultivate with him because he is absolutely fascinating. Anywho, his sister just sells little knick knacks and old clip-on earrings. I saw these orange beauties and it was love at first sight! They looked like some orange creamsicle flavored hard candy and I loved how bold they were. I never wore clip-ons so this was definitely a first. I'm so glad I dropped the $5 for them!
Love these! I'm also wearing my favorite denim shirt that I just. cannot. let. go. of. It has so many holes and I still love wearing it. What I really love about the summer months is the opportunity to go sans make-up. I love painting my face as much as the next lady, but I'm pretty sure feeling the breeze on a freshly washed face is a gift from God himself. HA! Plus no worries if your mascara is running from your bike ride or from the surf. The sunglasses are Nine West and are the ever-so-popular cat's eye shape. The bear necklace is from Melrose as well and I bought it the first few weeks as a California resident... because, well, you know you gotta represent!
Ever have a favorite jewelry find?
(P.S. I'm down 10 pounds! it was 7 last week but somehow my body decided to drop 3 more! ... Doing it the healthy way!)
