There aren't too many stores I venture for shopping. I do have a few fashionable staples I go to when I need something new (or even old). But there is always one place I tend to go more towards--thrifting! What I love about thrifting is the fact that you can find something that was considered someone else's unwelcome trash and it becomes your coveted treasure. I've found so many things from shoes, to hats, to bags, to clothing, to furniture. Everything. I'm still learning my way around Los Angeles thrift stores (uh, second largest city in the nation... I have some milage to cover!) but hopefully I'll be able to compile the things that don't fit me (but I can't pass up) into an online ebay or etsy store. The stuff I find is just too good to not share!
Besides thrift stores, other places always getting my wallet to open:
- Urban Outfitters - the sales rack is really what gets me!
- Marshalls - Great clothing selection and shoes!
- TJ MAXX - basically another Marshalls but what separates it is the fact that their jewelry is to die for. They have a way better selection. They also seem to have better handbags and home goods.
- Surf shops - I like supporting local artists, shapers, and designers. Places like Mollusk in Venice always have great hoodies and little designer duds that help support the creative surf community!
