This week was actually... quite great. Nothing extravagant happened, but the past few weeks have been really dragging for me; so when I got small bursts of gratitude and thankfulness, I was really aware of it all.
The coast has been getting really great waves the past week (halllllle-freaking-lujah) so I scoured for some waves Sunday and last to get my fix. County Line has been the only place the past few weeks that had anything rideable, so I went there first. It was quite heavy and I wasn't ready for it just yet, so I only stayed out for a short time. I spent most of my time exploring the low-tide rock pools that form at the north end when the water is out. You can see some pretty cool creatures when that happens.
I drove down to Sunset and saw the waves were still going there. When the tide is low, you can get some pretty nice slow peelers coming from the north side. I think doing this sort of wave-hunting is going to be my new Sunday tradition, plus the camping bug has bit so I have to get outside!
Do you have any weekly traditions or routines that get you set for the week?
