Crazy Horse

Do you know the industrial strength of Spanx it takes to make me look seamless in a pair of high-waisted shorts? Okay, the strength of one pair--I can be a little dramatic. HA! People should get the gist, from my previous outfit posts, I love southwestern inspiration in a wardrobe. Cowboys, horses, flannel, turquoise, silver, boots and more. Give me it all!

My plaid shirt is a men's flannel shirt I found at a Salvation Army for a few bucks. I loved the simplicity and masculinity of the colors so I snatched it right up. The shorts are velvet cutoffs from a pair of pants I found at a thrift story in Ohio last summer. They're surprisingly nice to wear in the summer, especially with California not having too much of a humidity problem. The old Men's leathern western belt was found for $2 up in Pasadena at a sweet thrift store that I ventured to on a whim one day.

The Ecote wedge sandals I'm wearing above are actually not the most reliable shoes I've ever worn. I've fallen in them a few times because they are unstable mothereffers. And no, I didn't fall outside of a bar after too long of a night! But regardless of them being unstable (sometimes) they actually are quite fun to wear and they are an extremely light shoe. Plus I can ride my bike in them, believe it or not. Another plus side to riding on my newly vamped beach cruiser, scouting location spots, I found a fig tree! I wonder if they're any good?

What kind of inspirations do you draw into your wardrobe?
